Maternity Discrimination

Maternity Discrimination

Pregnant women should be able to work for as long as they can and want to. Employers are prohibited from discriminating against women based on pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions. They must be treated the same as other employees. For example, an employer cannot refuse to hire a woman simply because she is pregnant so long as she can perform the functions of her job. Employers must hold a job open for a woman who is on maternity leave just as they would an employee on sick or disability leave.

If you or a family member think that you have been discriminated against because you are pregnant or have been on maternity leave,
call KJC Law Firm for a free consultation.

We will tell you whether you have a case and help you get compensation for your loss. The lawyers at KJC Law Firm have more than 125 years of experience litigating major cases. KJC Law Firm represents people from communities across Massachusetts, including the Greater Boston area, Cambridge, MetroWest, Worcester, Springfield, Cape Cod, Fall River and Lowell.
