Julia Russo joined KJC Law Firm in 2020. Julia is passionate about protecting workers’ employment rights, and her focus is on wage and hour, disability accommodations, discrimination and retaliation law. She has experience representing both Employees and Employers, with the common goal of resolving issues effectively in order to protect the integrity of the workplace.
Julia graduated from Northeastern University School of Law in 2020. During the course of her studies at Northeastern, Julia served as an Intern to The Honorable U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani in Boston. Julia was a Civil Procedure Teaching Assistant for two semesters at Northeastern, where she conducted weekly review sessions and offered tutoring for first-year law students. She also performed pro bono work for Greater Boston Legal Services, guiding indigent parents to receive public benefits and obtain gainful employment. Julia also had clerkships at the Boston employment and labor law firms of Segal Roitman and Hirsch Roberts Weinstein, where she helped represent diverse client bases including individuals, unions, and businesses. Julia enjoys counseling and advising as well as litigation in this complex legal field.
Prior to law school, Julia graduated cum laude from Tulane University, where she studied Political Science, Sociology, and U.S. Public Policy. Julia dedicated her time to volunteer in the New Orleans Public Defender’s Office helping represent indigent criminal defendants, and she volunteered as a mentor and teacher for a young dance team in Central City.
